1. Agreement
These terms apply to Smart CV: AI Resume Builder (the app), published by Melih Arık, Türkiye. By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app. They replace the earlier terms at meliharik.dev/cv_terms_and_conditions.html.
Apple's standard license agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) also applies to your use of the app. If these terms conflict with it, Apple's agreement governs where it covers the point.
2. What the app does
Smart CV helps you build a CV from templates, export it as a PDF, generate cover letters with AI, score a CV with AI and import an existing PDF CV. Features may change over time.
3. Your content
You own your CV content and the cover letters you create. You give us no license to it. To run the AI features the app sends the text of the PDF you choose to Google's Gemini API as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for having the right to use it.
4. AI-generated output
Cover letters, scores and imported fields are produced by an AI model and may be wrong, incomplete or generic. Review and edit them before you send or rely on them. Smart CV does not guarantee that a CV or letter will get you an interview, a job or any particular result, or that any employer's screening software will read a file in a particular way. Scores are suggestions, not a hiring judgment.
5. Subscriptions
Smart CV is free to download. Smart CV Pro is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks paid features. The plans, length and price for your country are shown in the app before you subscribe.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period at the price of the plan.
- Manage or cancel in iOS Settings, under your name and then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused part is forfeited when you buy a subscription, where Apple applies this.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the app to create false, misleading or unlawful content, including a CV that misstates your identity, qualifications or experience. Do not attempt to copy, reverse engineer or disrupt the app or the services it depends on, or misuse the AI features to produce harmful content.
7. Intellectual property
The app, its templates, design and code belong to Melih Arık or his licensors. You may use the templates to produce your own CV and cover letters. You may not resell or redistribute the templates or the app.
8. Availability
AI features and purchase checks need an internet connection and third-party services that we do not control. They may be slow, unavailable or change, and we do not promise uninterrupted service.
9. Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, to the extent allowed by law. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of data, lost opportunities, or lost employment, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. This does not limit rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
10. Termination
You can stop using the app at any time. We may suspend access if you breach these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, and the courts of Türkiye have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
